The beauty of language...

Especially German, is that you can occasionally get some laughs out of strange phrases.
Or words.

Just try looking up "German slang" and see what you get.
And once in a while you'll come across a word like Lederhosen, Dachshund, or Klapperschlange, which makes perfect sense when you know a little of the language. (Leather pants, badger dog, and rattle snake)
The way the Germans combine words to create their own compound words is remarkable.

"association of subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services"

HA!
Try throwing that one into conversation sometime, if you can pronounce it.
