So in the process of getting rid of one stalker by dating someone, that person became a stalker. In a roundabout kind of way.
I swear if my name shows up in one more blog post I'm gonna murder someone.
Seriously!
It wasn't supposed to be that big of a deal, I was taking myself off the market, so to speak, so my stalker ex would leave me alone. Once I was sure he was over me I dumped that sorry freshman bf's ass.
Simple as that.
Moving along.
I feel like crap but I'm not, and I repeat, not going to stay home from school. After missing two or three days with the chicken pox, I'm determined to attend school as much as possible.
On A days I can't afford to miss aerobics and on B days I have band practice, and seeing as the OSU band festival is on March 3rd, we need all the practice we can get. Especially on SPQR, (Senatus Populusque Romanus, or the Senate and People of Rome) and most especially on the third movement, Via Appia. Lots of sixteenth notes and sixteenth note triplets that shouldn't be too hard if I practice them some more. I've almost got it down though. Not bad for first flute third chair, eh? I'm also doing pretty well on Sea Songs, a medley of three British naval marches including Princess Royal, Admiral Benbow, and Portsmouth. I particularly like Admiral Benbow, the second movement, because the story behind it is tragically funny.
I just downloaded the piano sheet music to "Your Hand In Mine" by Explosions in the Sky.
If you haven't heard that song, I strongly recommend that you do. It's heartbreaking and empowering at the same time.
It's tied for the song that reminds me most of Daniel... aside from "Wish You Were Here" obviously.
This sheet music is somewhat challenging but it's in the same key as "Victor's Piano Solo" which I managed to struggle through, and other than the key (four sharps... yikes) is relatively straightforward.
I think I'll add it to the piano medley I'm arranging...
If I can play it.
While I was looking up random information I remembered that Daniel was planning to send me a Claddagh ring... The heart, hands, and crown insignia that is popular in Irish heritage. Depending on where it's worn, it symbolizes the status of the wearer. I think I'll wear it on my right ring finger with the tip of the heart pointed towards me... Indicating that someone has captured my heart.
I think I'm attempting to put myself into a diabetic coma with Everlasting Gobstoppers, these things are too addicting! Grabbed a box at Dollar Tree when I was getting some energy drinks to counteract the sluggishness that accompanied the Nyquil. Didn't help much, I felt sick after drinking half of the first can and I gave it to Ashley. Perhaps it's my caffeine intolerance.
Hmm. Is there anything of substance left to write?
Not exactly.
Ah well, this is more productive writing than I've completed for a while now.
Catch you later,
~Mimi
