Poseidon: The Artist and the Abuser
You are the classic creator. You love using your hands and your mind. Your greatest passion is creating a work of art, whether it be in painting, writing, or poetry. (I happen to be an artist). You are in touch with your emotions, but in no means in control of them. You can only express you emotion in controlled bursts, and these can, occasionally, be quite violent. Your greatest fear is of yourself. You fear that you will lose control of your feelings. As such, you become ashamed of strong emotion; this converts all strong emotions into pain. Of the archetypes listed here, the Artist is the most adept at creating relationships. The opposite sex is attracted to the Artist's creative, romantic spirit and intense emotion. You care what others think of you and your creations. Your entire idium is dependant on acceptance. Rejection is like death. You work well with "The Businessman", because, while you like fame, you aren't smart enough in business to attain it.
The Artist can pretty much get any mate he/she wants. To make a choice, though, one would do well to go with "The Seducer", who could teach you to be proud of your emotions.
The foul side of the Artist is the Abuser. The Abuser is spawned when an Artist can't control his anger and frustration. He becomes a very violent man. In his rage he forgets about the feelings of others, and will often be very abusive to loved ones. This is omnipresent in most cases of aquaintance rape. After the initial violence, the abuser is very adept at repenting. He is the quintessential man who beats his wife and gives her flowers later.
A good example of the Artist/Abuser is Vincent Van Gogh, who was very creative, but eventually became so frustrated that he cut off his own ear, and eventually killed himself.
