Finally.

One final down. Six to go.
My spanish 2 final was a piece of cake. a quick impromptu oral final, only about two minutes long, and a ten-page packet as the multiple-choice written final. I'm pretty sure I did okay on both of them.

Moving along, I have my Food Choices final tomorrow... the nice part about it is that when our final is over, we get to eat it.

I still feel sick, I'm still coughing, but I went to the double-header basketball game last night to join the pep band... again...
Girls' team got smashed by Newberg.
Guys' team lost too.
Our director got mad when nobody was listening to him.
I even got a little school spirit going (heaven forbid) and joined in with the chanting and the varied chaos. It was pretty fun.

Then for the dance I changed into my black leggings and black shirt, and Ashley's bleached denim tie-dye skirt.
Apparently I had the coolest outfit there.
Which makes me smile because it means I stepped out of my comfort zone a little.
I'm gaining more confidence as time goes on.
It's a great feeling.
Just knowing that I was brave enough to dress in something that no one had ever seen me in (or expected to in the first place) really boosts my self-esteem.
In addition I danced with a bunch of people I didn't know.
Which was cool I guess.
It was extrememly fun.

Especially German, is that you can occasionally get some laughs out of strange phrases.
Or words.

Just try looking up "German slang" and see what you get.
And once in a while you'll come across a word like Lederhosen, Dachshund, or Klapperschlange, which makes perfect sense when you know a little of the language. (Leather pants, badger dog, and rattle snake)
The way the Germans combine words to create their own compound words is remarkable.

I have just realized that in approximately a year and a half, or 15 months (of school), I will be done.
There's a key difference between freshmen and juniors, says my senior friend Sara. Not Kiwi, but Sara.
